The concept of flying banners from light poles and the like is not new.
It brightens the streetscape with colourful and eye-catching flags, provides information, and offers scope for increasing revenue, announcing events, sponsorship and marketing opportunities.

The challenge is to manage the changing of the banners cost effectively as traditionally, changing banners on poles is expensive requiring multiple staff, cherry pickers, road closures and out of hours work.

Urban Aluminium offers FlagTrax™, an innovative banner raising system enabling banners to be changed quickly and economically from ground level by one person.

Tried and tested with over 7,000 systems in the field world-wide, FlagTrax™ can be installed on our wide range of multi-function and standard poles. It can also be retrofitted to existing poles that have the structural capability.

HINGED POLES

There are many pole locations where access is a constraint and maintenance a challenge. This may be railway platforms, board walks or road bridges. The Urban Aluminium solution is to manufacture the poles with an internal spring assisted hinge cartridge.

The hinge unit enables poles to 8m in height to be raised and lowered by a single operator in a safe and controlled operation without compromise.

Urban Aluminium is the Australian distributor of the Echalon Hinge System, a product of The Aluminium Lighting Company of the UK. Multiple Urban Aluminium pole products can accept the unit.
