QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

We manufacture a wide range of aluminium poles including light poles, flagpoles, camera poles, banner poles, and custom-engineered solutions for various infrastructure and architectural applications.

Our poles are available in anodised, powder-coated (matt, satin, or gloss), and raw aluminium finishes. Custom colours can also be supplied upon request.

Yes, we offer both standard product lines and custom pole solutions tailored to specific client or project requirements, including height, base plate design, spigot sizing, and mounting options.

All poles come with a minimum 10-year structural warranty. Finish warranties (e.g. powder coat) may vary depending on the application and selected coating.

  • Anodising carries a 10 year warranty as standard and up to 50 years warranty on specialty anodising services.
  • Powder Coating is available in 2 year, 5 year and 10 year warranty grades. Consider the environmental conditions of your site when choosing which grade to request.
  • Marine Grade Wet Spray comes with a 7 year warranty.

We don’t install poles directly, but can recommend trusted contractors and provide detailed installation guidelines.

Urban Aluminium poles are manufactured from locally sourced and imported product, with assembly and refinement undertaken in our Australian factory. We strive to use locally sourced components wherever possible.

Typically, our poles have a design life of 40 to 50 after which time the poles are fully recyclable.

Aluminium is low maintenance and corrosion resistant. We recommend occasional cleaning with mild detergent to maintain appearance, especially in coastal or industrial environments.

Yes, we have a range of base plate adaptors to secure UA poles to existing foundations.

UA’s foundation cages are made of steel. Stainless Steel cages are available upon request for corrosive environments.

No, UA use a thick Dulux Durebild epoxy coating to keep the materials separated.

Yes, all our products are designed and manufactured to comply with relevant Australian Standards, including AS/NZS 1170 for structural integrity and AS/NZS 2312 for corrosion protection.

Yes. Upon request, we can provide site-specific engineering certificates and structural drawings for council approvals or project documentation.

Standard orders of up to 40 units usually ship within 4-6 weeks. Custom orders or large project quantities may require additional lead time. We’ll confirm the exact timeline at the time of quotation.

Yes, we can develop a delivery schedule with you at the time of ordering to ensure efficient production and supply of your order.

Yes, we deliver to all metro and regional areas across Australia, with flexible options including crane truck offload or warehouse pickup. We also work with trusted distributors in Perth, Tasmania, and South Australia, ensuring local stock availability, faster delivery, and on-the-ground support.

UA generally advise unpacking the poles as soon possible upon delivery. The poles should be unwrapped within 14 days to avoid voiding the warranty on the coating.

No, UA poles weigh a lot less than steel. Our architectural Stem range can be installed by 1 person without expensive lifting equipment if safe to do so.
